Causes of Diminished Quality
Low Response Rates
Low response rates can create bipolar skewing of the survey responses – an over representative sample of the very satisfied or too many of the very dissatisfied.
  • Low response rate surveys are less likely to correctly project the attitudes of the whole from the sample
An Inadequate Number of Responses
Not meeting the minimum survey goal for statistical significance reduces/eliminates the value of those surveys.

Extra Responses Beyond the Defined Goal
Excess surveys above the goal represent a wasted expense. You end up spending more money than you need to, without seeing a return on that investment.

Not Meeting Foundational Survey Targets
With provider level surveys, each provider has an individual target that must be met to accomplish management survey objectives.
